OUR HISTORY

Serving North Bay Drivers since 1968

My father, Marcel Vaillancourt, Owner & Operator, began his business at the corner of Fisher and Main Street in North Bay, and at that time it was strictly a muffler shop called Minit Muffler. A few years later it became apparent that more space was required. A new building was erected and the business moved to 576 McGaughey Ave. in North Bay.

In September 1979, my brother Dan and I purchased the business from our father, and I, “Leo”, still own and operate it today with my son Alex.

Dan and I opened a second True-Centre shop, located in Pembroke, Ontario, on August 1, 1986. Our oldest brother, Florent Vaillancourt, managed and operated this True-Centre up until August of 2010, at which time the management was passed on to his son, Jason.

True-Centre Auto Service with Full Auto Service, formerly “Thruway”, would like to tell you of our “new” services and remind you of our “old” ones.

Air Conditioning, Tires, Brakes, Tune-Ups and More

Other successful additions to our North Bay shop are lift kits, accessories, and electronic diagnostics.

Our location offers a computerized wheel alignment rack, which enhances our ability to offer you a one-stop shop for front end repairs. We use high-quality parts in our shop. However, we can accommodate any request for a specific manufacturer.

We install, balance and repair tires. We also offer annual inspections for commercial vehicles up to one ton, as well as safety certificates for passenger vehicles and annual inspections on trailers. We sell and install hitches, fifth wheels and custom pipes bending from 1.5” up to 3”.

Our existing services include exhaust, brakes, ABS diagnostics, shocks, and engine diagnostics. We are also set up for doing oil changes on all imported and domestic vehicles.

Our staff is also in constant training to keep up with the latest in technology for diagnostics, as well as training on the latest in equipment.

What is unique about us is our reputation that has been built on honesty and standing behind our services and parts.
